Michael Cabot is a co-founder and the Founding Partner & Broker of Record at Behavioral Health Properties. Based in Palm Beach, Florida, he brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience and a focused understanding of behavioral health properties.

Michael recognized early that behavioral health operators were being underserved by generalist brokers. He built his practice around the real estate needs of mental health centers, addiction treatment facilities, eating disorder clinics, autism care centers, and other specialized providers.

He oversees national sales, leasing, and business development work for operator clients. His experience includes 1031 like-kind exchanges, syndications, medical office development, acquisitions, and leasing, along with the zoning, land use, licensing, and reimbursement considerations that can determine whether a behavioral health property works.

Michael is known for a direct, hands-on approach and long-term client relationships. His work has supported transactions across the United States and helped clients grow from a single facility into multi-location platforms.

Outside the firm, Michael serves nonprofit organizations and supports recovery- and veteran-focused causes. That commitment reflects the reason BHP chose to work in behavioral health in the first place.
